The New England Chapters of the National MS Society, in collaboration with the Partners Pediatric MS Center at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, invites you and your family to another exciting "Kids Get MS Too".

Dr. Tanuja Chitnis, MS neurologist, Dr. David Rintell, family counselor, and Catherine Becker, Pediatric Nurse at the Partners Pediatric MS Center, as well as staff from the National MS Society will be available for your questions about MS during the day and at lunch. Children and teens will be able to network with their peers and have some fun and learn more about MS.

This important and exciting program for children and teens with MS brings families together to learn more in an environment geared to make kids feel comfortable asking questions, talking to others going through similar situations, or just listening.

Financial assistance is available to families in need and can include transportation and overnight accommodations for those traveling long distances. For more information, please contact Amber Stalker at 1-800-493-9255.

If you've never been before here's what we heard from teens & parents:

  • I now know I am not the only one, not alone in the battle
  • This was really fun.
  • I learned that others are feeling the same - I liked the togetherness & support.
  • Very helpful to talk with health care providers in this setting
  • It was very educational. The individuals were very caring, supportive and extremely friendly.
  • Meeting is great face-to-face!
  • It was a great help!!! Today was a positive!!!
  • The best part? Being able to hear about what the other teens were going through; knowing that I'm not alone, seeing how others around the same age felt about MS

If you would like to attend this program, please contact Amber Stalker at 1-800-FIGHT-MS, choose option 2 or Amber.Stalker@mam.nmss.org by November 30, 2006. We hope that you will be able to join us for a fun and educational experience.
