The New England Chapters of the National MS Society, in collaboration with the Partners Pediatric MS Center at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, invites you and your family to another exciting “Kids Get MS Too”:

Bowl-the-Day Away

Saturday, January 26, 2008
11:30 am - 2:30 pm
Fairway Sports World, Natick, Massachusetts
This program is free but families must register by January 18, 2008
Lunch will be provided. Financial assistance & overnight accommodations are available.

We are planning a day of fun, socializing and hanging out as you and your family bowl the day away!  You will be able to interact with other kids, teens and families while having fun at the bowling alley! Kids and teens are given a chance to talk, listen, and interact with others who are going through similar situations. Children and teens are encouraged to bring their siblings and/or a friend with them for this fun day.

Informal discussions opportunities for parents and kids will be available with Dr. Tanuja Chitnis, MS neurologist; Dr. Mark Gorman, neurology fellow; Catie Becker, MS Nurse; and staff of the National MS Society.

Financial assistance is available to families in need, and can include transportation and overnight accommodations for those traveling long distances. For more information regarding financial assistance or if families are interested in arranging for overnight accommodations, please contact Sarah Fimian at 1-800-493-9255, option 2, ext 153.

For families who have never attended Kids Get MS Too before, here’s what teens and parents have to say:
 - I now know I am not the only one, not alone in the battle.
 - I learned that others are feeling the same - I liked the togetherness & support.
 - This was really fun!
 - Meeting is great face-to-face!
 - Today was a positive!!
 - The best part? Being able to hear about what the other teens were going through; knowing that I'm not alone, seeing how others around the same age felt about MS.

If you would like to attend Bowl-the-Day Away please contact Sarah Fimian at 1-800-493-9255, option 2, ext 153 or Sarah.Fimian@mam.nmss.org by January 18, 2008. We hope that you join us for this fun and educational experience.
